Exciting times ahead!

Dearest readers,

I hope you all had a great holiday season these past couple weeks.

I am not sure if I’ve spoken of it before now, but I have a little baby brother or sister arriving soon!  I couldn’t be more excited to meet him or her and help Mommy and Daddy take care of them.  I give my mom’s belly hugs and kisses which I’m told is super cute.  I am trying to help with its name too, but my responses of all names, zero names, or “Little Baby” don’t seem to be narrowing down the list.  At this point, I think my parents are going to wait to see the baby before making a final decision.

In preparation for the new baby, I’ve also become a lot more independent lately.  I now get ready for bed all by myself, from pull-up, to pajamas, to brushing teeth, I do it all!  I can mostly get ready in the mornings but sometimes the motivation just isn’t there.  Today I shocked my parents, and honestly myself, by getting my own applesauce out of the fridge.  My foolish parents thought I’d get to the fridge and ask for help as I’ve always done before.  I opened the doors, pulled up my learning tower, opened the drawer for my applesauce, moved the learning tower back, and closed the doors without an adult in sight!

Also in breaking news, I just found out that Uncle Bob and Aunt Marisa had their baby today!  I can’t wait to meet him and show him a couple things…

Until next time,

Lydia
