New developments

Hey everyone!

I have been doing some fun and exciting things lately and thought I’d share.

In the past few weeks I’ve been trying to speak mostly in full sentences.  It’s quite nice to carry on a real conversation these days and I’m picking up new words all the time.  My favorite recent ones are ‘evaporated’ and ‘refrigerator’.

One thing my parents have been hoping for a while finally happened about two weeks ago — I walked down our three flights of stairs entirely on my own.  I didn’t even use the wall or railing for support!  Unfortunately, I’ve only done this a single time and only in the presence of Daddy, so Mommy has a hard time believing it actually occurred.  I’ll do it more often when I’m good and ready.

Most recently, my creativity has skyrocketed!  I now enjoy drawing with crayons and can even sometimes name what I’ve drawn.  Just today, I was eating a piece of cheese for lunch and named what the cheese looked like after each bite!  It went in this order: fire truck, boat, car, backpack, and finally a doggie.  It took my dad a while to see what I did but I think he’s just a bit rusty in the imagination department.

That’s all for now!  I’m looking forward to a warm summer and hope to see all my dear readers soon.

Lydia
